To view the Invoice details and make an online payment, the user simply clicks the 'View Invoice' link to the right of the Balance Due amount and opens the SiteInvoiceFF page (p2f_SiteInvoiceFF - also included in our integration pack). This amount will change only after a FinancialForce Cash Entry is created and matched against the Invoice. Note that the balance due amount is the FinancialForce balance. This page lists all of the posted FinancialForce Sales Invoices associated with the portal user along with due dates, total amount, and balance due. When we're ready to present the Invoice to the customer, we have to 'Post' the invoice, changing the Invoice Status from 'In Progress' to 'Complete' and locking the record in FinancialForce.Īfter posting the Invoice, it should be visible to the customer in the Salesforce Community by navigating to the SiteInvoices page included in our integration pack (p2f_SiteInvoices).

The FinancialForce package will create a new Invoice record with line items matching the lines items on our Opportunity, which can then be modified, if necessary, to add tax codes, addition line items, terms and conditions and so on. For this demonstration, we'll just start with an Opportunity and generate one from the Opportunity and Opportunity Line Item data using the 'Create Invoice' button included in the FinancialForce Accounting. There are a number of options for creating an Invoice record in Salesforce - by clicking the 'New' Invoice button and building entering invoice details by hand, via Apex code, through custom workflow.
